wow, months have passed since the last time i updated this blog. i’m still dealing with taxation. i’ve been in this position since august 2009, time for another big rotation!!! too bad, it doesn’t seem that such rotation will take place, not in this near 2-3 months i guess. the possession of blackberry phone has indeed made me less dependant on laptop. anyhow, online using laptop is still the best for me.

alright, to summarize jan-sept 2010…this year i went to singapore and KL twice, addicted to ussg i guess. the first time i went to ussg, i was overwhelmed, and i still felt the same on my second visit. thx to Y who was willing to take this 小朋友 (lil buddy) to ussg. the second visit was even more awesome for me. i watched all shows, plus fireworks on 9pm. i like ‘pantages’ and ‘waterworld’ the most. oh ya, forgot to mention that i watched theatre when i was in KL in July. i watched it in KLPAC. no doubt, it was yit shen who introduced this new thing to me :p

back to movie world. for d past few months, i think these are movies which made me clap : my name is khan, a fistful of stances (HK series), 下一站，幸福 (taiwan series). i think there are still some that i can’t recall, but never mind…these few months have been great ones. thx to DS and to Y. i did spend my bday with my dear ones, family, DS n Y. i dunno if u mean it or not, but i’m glad that u wanted to spare your time on that day.i’m really glad that u happened to stop by in my life, though for u, i might not mean that much…

Many things had happened to me in 2009. I believe those have helped me grow up. The first half year went on smoothly. If there was anything happening, it was my plan to resign from my current job. It all started off with d offer from my friend whose name is Meryana. She said there was vacancy in PT.Wilmar. Well, there is always vacancy in that company. Two years ago, i didn’t wanna try to get into d company was because, in my mind, i think it would not be problem for me to become part of d company. I’m not bluffing, nor am i too arrogant. What made me change my mind and decide to give it a shot? I considered that with my friend’s recommendation, I would not be randomly posted in that big company. At least i would roughly know my job description. I put in my resume, but i didn’t expect much, since i actually still love my current job. I then received calls, attended few tests and interviews, until i was finally recruited by wilmar.

On 9th or 10th June 2009 (forget d exact date), i handed in my resignation letter. Several days prior to that, i heard d news that one of my colleagues would be located in Banda Aceh, where our new branch resides. With that news, i knew that like it or not, d company would ask me to stay. My head did ask me to stay. Till now i don’t know d real reason of them asking me to stay, whether it was because i’m really competent or because they could not afford to lose two staff at d same time. Anyway my final decision was to stay with my current job. Lots of people might say that i’m a fool, for rejecting d offer from wilmar. After all, i was already accepted, every thing was settled, they just wait for me to start my first working day. My main reasons to stay were because i still felt comfortable working in it and i was offered a position in taxation. I knew that if i moved to wilmar, i would wait longer for that. There were other reasons, such as loyalty, friendship, warmth, and even d structure of d company. I have to admit that i admire its structure. Maybe it’s not d best, but it’s one of d best. One more reason was that i was able to learn taxation from my most respected person, Imelda T.

While my mind struggled with d choice of ‘stay’ or ‘leave’, i learned a lot from this resignation. I know which people are dependable, which ones are not. Those whom i trusted, told everyone about my plan. Thanks to lily, elisa, donna, emi and lina.

I can proudly tell d world that i don’t regret with d decision i made. I know that this is d best for me. Although my earnings might be d compensation, but it doesn’t matter, since it’s not d most important thing for me.

Adios 2009, I welcome 2010 with new spirits, sharpened visions and warmer heart

last evening, i saw Khalil Fong in Channel V, singing ‘wonderful tonight’. d song was very soothing. then i downloaded d song, and until today, i can’t help myself to keep on listening to it. i just downloaded d original version of d song by eric clapton. i like khalil’s version more.

let’s summarize this wonderful month. i bought a new laptop two weeks ago. i finally decided to buy MSi X340, d white extra slim laptop. it costed Rp.6 million. 不用问了, i’m broke..my biggest complaint, d screen is too small. my eyes have to work hard.

two days before buying laptop, i was busy searching for cheap flights to bali, yogya, or other places. too bad, my internet connection did not support d flight search. i was unable to even open d webpage. on d first day, i relied on yit shen to search for d cheap tickets. yit shen n I almost got cheap ticket to bali, too bad, we failed at d last process. she had entered d credit card number, but somehow it didn’t work. well, i don’t regret after all. maybe it’s not d best time to plan for vacation, though i want it so badly.

another good news is that our badminton member has increased by one :p ani joined us 3 weeks ago. we’ve also moved our schedule to wednesday, instead of friday. apart from that, mariaty is interested in gym. not sure if she was serious or joking, but i hope d plan will be executed.

my current situation : sick…i’ve been sick since wednesday. i thought i had normal fever and headache, but until today, d headache hasn’t gone away, though d fever has. if until tomorrow, i haven’t recovered, doctor will be d only way out. gee, hate going to doctor.

i found out that when i have lots of things to do, i don’t let my mind be screwed, and by that i don’t need to blog. weird…but every time i’m down, i need blogging to express my feeling, my thoughts. is it just an escape? no idea…

yesterday i asked her if our plan to go to sg still prevails. she implicitly told me that it doesn’t. hate it when things like this happen. she should have told me at d first place, so that i can manage my own schedule. after all this time, she’s still like that. i can’t read her mind, but i’m transparent to her. especially these days, no matter what i say, i’m always wrong. i don’t expect a lot, but at least don’t change in a blink of eyes

it has been one week, hm, two weeks i think…since 15th, i have practically few things to do. arh…it’s a bit frustating. my colleague said, “good, u still receive d same salary regardless…”. well, i don’t think so. when u have nothing to do, time is not ticking.

btw i’m currently in love with twitter. i think it’s a good media to transfer what’s on our mind to d world, in written form. one thing for sure, same as my facebook, i wanna keep it in a close circuit, which means that only people i know will be able to view what i write. as my fren said, she doesn’t want her facebook to become fakebook, neither do I :p

i don’t wanna sound les, but here’s d fact…i’ve never realised that chatting with her has become a habit for me. never have i realised that going downstairs, delivering documents, stopping by after photostating are merely reasons so that i can see how’s she doing. i’m desperately bored for d past 3 days. after getting phone call from her, i smiled like a child. seriously, what’s wrong with me? gee, i dunno…

anyway apart from that, i’m actively sending my online resume, hoping to get a reply email someday. if someone asks me how certain i am about working overseas, my answer will be i dunno. i’m just trying my luck, filling up my leisure time, fully utilizing my internet capacity, LOL

today i was shocked by d fact that an incapable person is about to get Lancer, just becoz he’s good at winning boss’ heart. if this really happens, my respect for d boss will be lessen. two people with d same position don’t get to drive Lancer, how come he can? not to mention other heads and supervisors from different departments who are not as LUCKY as he is. i personally think that those heads, who dedicate more, deserve more attention from d boss. d boss should be aware that social jealousy does exist. we’ll see what will happen…

Suatu hari sang guru bertanya kepada murid-muridnya “Mengapa ketika seseorang sedang dalam keadaan marah, ia akan berbicara dengan suara kuat atau berteriak?”
Seorang murid setelah berpikir cukup lama mengangkat tangan dan menjawab “Karena saat seperti itu ia telah kehilangan kesabaran, karena itu ia lalu berteriak.”
“Tapi…” sang guru balik bertanya, “lawan bicaranya justru berada disampingnya. Mengapa harus berteriak? Apakah ia tak dapat berbicara secara halus?”
Hampir semua murid memberikan sejumlah alasan yang dikira benar menurut pertimbangan mereka. Namun tak satupun jawaban yang memuaskan.
Sang guru lalu berkata; “Ketika dua orang sedang berada dalam situasi kemarahan, jarak antara ke dua hati mereka menjadi amat jauh walau secara fisik mereka begitu dekat. Karena itu, untuk mencapai jarak yang demikian, mereka harus berteriak. Namun anehnya, semakin keras mereka berteriak, semakin pula mereka menjadi marah dan dengan sendirinya jarak hati yang ada di antara keduanya pun menjadi lebih jauh lagi. Karena itu mereka terpaksa berteriak lebih keras lagi.”

Sang guru masih melanjutkan; “Sebaliknya, apa yang terjadi ketika dua orang saling jatuh cinta? Mereka tak hanya tidak berteriak, namun ketika mereka berbicara suara yang keluar dari mulut mereka begitu halus dan kecil. Sehalus apapun, keduanya bisa mendengarkannya dengan begitu jelas. Mengapa demikian?” Sang guru bertanya sambil memperhatikan para muridnya.
Mereka nampak berpikir amat dalam namun tak satupun berani memberikan jawaban.
“Karena hati mereka begitu dekat, hati mereka tak berjarak. Pada akhirnya sepatah katapun tak perlu diucapkan. Sebuah pandangan mata saja amatlah cukup membuat mereka memahami apa yang ingin mereka sampaikan.”

Sang guru masih melanjutkan; “Ketika anda sedang dilanda kemarahan, janganlah hatimu menciptakan jarak. Lebih lagi hendaknya kamu tidak mengucapkan kata yang mendatangkan jarak di antara kamu.
Mungkin di saat seperti itu, tak mengucapkan kata-kata mungkin merupakan cara yang bijaksana. Karena waktu akan membantu anda.”

i’ve been busy for a week. as usual, end of month stuff. i’m also busy watching cable tv, bai quan nu wang & gem of life. bai quan is entering its last episodes, while gem is only in its 1/8 of total 80 episodes. fiuh, still long way to go.

meanwhile in my office, another new staff in accounting dept. i hope this one can not only last long, but is also capable of handling tasks. anyway this new colleague should be a good role model. she lives in lubuk pakam, a suburb. she leaves home at 6am, reaches asia street at about 6.45, waiting for company bus to fetch her. wow, i’m still sleeping by then. u think that’s it? nope. after office hour, she still has to attend classes at UMI (university methodist Indonesia). i wonder why i always yawn in d office while another person works much harder and sleeps less hours than me.
